New Jersey Contact Lenses is at the cutting edge in providing service and care to its patients. With state of the art computerized patient records, and some of the newest and most innovative instrumentation available New Jersey Contact Lenses is committed to providing both complex and simple cases with exceptional dedication and patience. As a full scope practice with a concentration on contact lenses, our office offers all types of primary eye health examinations including annual evaluations and school visual screenings.
As one of the first practices in New Jersey to have the Optos Panoramic 200, New Jersey Contact Lenses is able to perform full eye health exams without the discomfort and inconvenience of dilation. The Optos retinal image is obtained by a scanning laser ophthalmoscope in a matter of minutes. This new technology provides an extremely clear and wide view of the retina allowing for easier detection of sight threatening problems.
Our practice has been focusing on complex and challenging contact lens cases and patients with complications such as keratoconus, penetrating keratoplasty, and post corneal graft scarring since the late 1950's when Dr. Leonard Strulowitz started fitting people in the original hard lenses. Our office treats an average of 5 keratoconus patients per day. In addition, New Jersey Contact Lenses is happy to accept Medicare assignment for its eligible patients.
Currently Dr. Vincent McGlone fits over 180 different types of contact lenses including soft, gas permeable, color changing, bifocal and progressive lenses. New Jersey Contact Lenses shares a building with a contact lens laboratory. This proximity to a quality contact lens manufacturer allows us to design our own rigid lenses and dispense them to our patients very rapidly.
Throughout his career Dr. McGlone has participated in numerous contact lens studies including but not limited to FDA and marketing trials and other research studies. He has been on the faculty of several conferences. Located conveniently close to downtown Millburn, the team of the New Jersey Contact Lenses is glad to take the time and care required for each individual regardless of the complexity involved.
